 Now, first things first, i'm a proud father who was blessed having 3 children who i luv very much, more than anything in the world,1st my eldest son Codie Cowan 15yrs old who is an excellent footballer has a good sidestep & tackles hard but has no ears all good,next my beautiful daughter Tanishea Cowan 13yrs old shes plays great basket ball & net ball shes a bit towy & shes bossy never mind & last but not least my youngest son Riva 5yrs old he likes Samurai,Batman,Spiderman all that kind of stuff he's been singing to me lately which is pretty cool,well i started playing trumpet in my school band everytime i hopped on the drums my band teacher would say get off we've already got a drummer, well as soon as i left school straight on the drums.My mother wanted me to play drums in our family polynesian show, we had a contract at guam hilton for six mnths which lasted 5yrs.I was 10yrs old at the time i was playing trumpet,drums,knife & fire dance after that i played at beachcomber island for 3yrs, my friends and i formed a reggae band, Mataqali Music, with them for 10yrs, in 1983 we won Star Search channel 10 Australian tv,after that i joined the Riva Band formed exclusively for the Sheraton on the Park Riva nite club in sydney where i was so fortunate to play with some of the worlds finest musicans
 such as Janet Jackson Band;Little John drummer, funky as
Mariah Carey Band;
Harry Connick Jnr;Raymond Webber, solid hard hitter
Bryan Ferry Band;Alvino bennett, kicked my drums so hard he broke my china, next day i was endorsed with Paiste cymbals not one cymbal but a whole new set damm

Barry White- met him across the road Hilton Hotel 1996 sound check. very deep soft spoken man, i was the noisy one, his band came & jammed after their gig and kicked it

Madonna Band;Omar Hakim came to check us out my keyboard player introduced him to me he said you got pocket bro, i said thanks & rushed off to get a drink cause we just came off stage i didnt know who he was,the next i was at Billy Hyde Drumcraft & they were playing his video,i was like hey i met that guy last nite not knowing he was a kick ass drummer.anyway he came again so that was cool
Boyz II Men Band;they jammed next nite we were in the front at their concert
Thelma Houston;she sung with us her & our lead singer kicked together she likes that champagne
Michael Jackson Band;Jonathen Moffat now i know why they call him Sugar Foot
Michael Bolton Band;yeah
UB40;known them for the last 20yrs jammed at the Horden Pavillion toured Australia with them great guys,always bump into them all around the world,the volcano
Peter Tosh - played support with him Civic Theatre Newcastle
Toots & The Maytals;very nice man played with him at the Musos Club Surry hills Sydny
Ronnie Jordan;nice jam with him at Riva Sheraton on the Park
Mark Morrison;walked in while we were playing Return of the Mack so he got up & sung it Riva Sheraton on the Park
Meatloaf;very funky white boys
Kenny Gee;we just came off stage & his brother carrying a sax came in the room saying ok you guys kenny wants to jam,so we let him being kenny gee, his guitar and keys were excellent.
Jodeci KC & Jojo;it was my birthday and i ended up playing with KC&JOJO man what a birthday me &JOJO party hardy
Victor Bailey,came to watch the Riva Band one night,the guys said hey cappy Victor Bailey wants to sit in, man I was freakin out wondering whats this guy gonna do but he was so cool he just kept the groove but when it was his turn to solo it was like thunder it was such an honour to play with him.
Renee Geyer;played with her at the Riva Sheraton on the Park,it was a buzz playing with her and harmonizing to songs that I've always loved ,she reminds of my mum the way she directs you with her hands, when she wants more & then nothing.
Marcia Hines; she used to come and watch us at the Riva and kicked it there too,she looks so good she obviously found what was missing in her life.
Emma Donavan;played survial concert at Waverley,the Opera House and many others she's cool.
Marleene Cummins; Koorie woman of blues we did Byron Bay Blues & Roots Festival what a buzz.
Lisa Maxwell; she loved kickn it with Riva Band everytime she was there.
Chrissy Amphlett ,Dyvinals;when we saw her we started playing Wild Thing,she came straight on stage with her champagne glass,smash it on the floor sung the song trying to kick my lead singer in the balls and rip his clothes off ,what an animal shes great..
Neil Brooks;he's a pretty cool guitarist let alone an Olympic Gold Meddalist used to jam with us a lot,
James Reyne;played with him on the Neil Brooks Sport Show the pilot. The Boys Light Up
Biily Thorpe:said me & Yaw were the tightest rythym section he had ever seen and invited us to Sun Studios to jam with him may he rest in peace
